Cursillo is an organization which helps us as Catholics to grow in the understanding and practice of our Catholic faith. The Lafayette Cursillo Community invites you to join us for an evening of faith, food, fellowship, and music at our Ultreya on Saturday, March 22 at 7:00PM at St Lawrence Parish Hall. Ultreyas are open to everyone who is interested in Cursillo. We will have a soup supper before the ultreya at 6:00PM. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share and a friend! Our guest speaker will be Fr Josh Janko. For more information about this ultreya or any questions about Cursillo contact Tim and Eileen Hays at tehays@comcast.net.
For the first part of 2025 we'll be covering the book
True Friendship: Where Virtue Becomes Happiness by John Cuddeback
We all want true friends. But how many of us really know what friendship is, or where to find it? In these pages, philosopher John Cuddeback weaves together the timeless wisdom of Scripture, of the ancient Greeks, and the saints to map out the steep and beautiful path to man's greatest joy—true friendship. We'll be dividing up the book and presenting a new part each month in the traditional format of a Doctrinal Talk by a Priest, Deacon or Nun. Followed by a deeper dive by a Cursillista, called the Technique Talk into friendship. We'll build up to a finale in May with a presentation by the author John Cuddeback!
All sessions begin at 9am. Our next School of Leaders program will take place on Zoom on Feb. 15th with Fr. Todd Riebe and John Ameis. Click Title for more information.
Please mark your calendars to attend the closings. While the exact times are being finalized as we seek to hold the closings earlier, we recommend blocking your calendar after 2:00 PM to be safe. Click Title for more information.
